Athol Walden Appointed Board Chair of Gunawuna Jungai

Doomadgee-based organisation Gunawuna Jungai has announced the appointment of Athol Walden as Board Chair, a decision that has been met with strong community support.

Mr Walden brings a wealth of experience from his extensive career in local government, including serving as a sitting Councillor, where he was widely respected for his commitment to community-led outcomes and sound governance.

Mr Walden is recognised for calm, steady hand in leadership, as well as his capability for rational decision-making and maintaining stability.

Gunawuna Jungai Chief Executive Officer Massimo Zaini said the Board and executive team were united in their support of the appointment.
