The Doomadgee Rodeo is an authentic bush rodeo experience held in August each year.

 

Riders come from all around, including Borroloola, Brisbane, Normanton, Mount Isa and Cloncurry for the region’s premier sporting event, competing in Open Bullock, Station Buck and Jump, and Novice Bull as well as the Ladies’ Steer Ride and Potty Ride.

 

The popular and exciting rodeo brings in hundreds of people from riders and spectators to businesses and visitors, and is a great weekend for all looking to experience Doomadgee and the bush.
